The First Hour

Even though its been a while since i had my first lesson, i hope i can still tell you about what you can expect on the day. When you book your first lesson you will usually have to wait a few days to actually fly it. These few days may well feel like the longest days of your life. However once the time comes for you to fly you will realise its all been worth it. After an introduction with the instructor with who you will be flying, you will be briefed on what to expect on your first flight.

After the brief you will join the instructor in checking out the aircraft where they will explain some emergency procedures to you. Dont be frightened by this is just a precaution, however do pay attention to it.

On the actual flight the instructor will get you airborne and settled at the cruise altitude, where you will be able to experience the control of the aircraft for your self.

Depending on weather you have half an hour trial lesson or an hour trial lesson you may get to enjoy some local sights before coming back to land.

After you have landed the instructor will de brief you on the flight and you can ask any questions you may have. Its at this point that you will know weather this is something you want to do or not. If it is you can speak to the instructor about getting the books you need and booking up more lessons for the future.

Either way your first lesson will be one you will not forget in a hurry!
